He has a special interest in minor dermatological surgical procedures, many of which he can perform in an office setting. While at the University of Illinois he participated in different cancer research projects spanning several years. Dr. Alzein's hospital staff privileges include Silver Cross Hospital and Provena St. Joseph Hospital. Dr. Alzein is married and enjoys time spent with his 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. His wife is a part-time pharmacist and a full-time Mom.
Dr. Edward Ratkovich, a Lemont native, is a graduate of the St. Joseph Hospital / North VAMC Podiatric Surgical Residency. His residency training included all aspects of foot and ankle care with an emphasis on elective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He seeks to employ conservative management approaches whenever possible. Dr. Ratkovich received his medical degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Iowa. Dr. Ratkovich brings knowledge and expertise in the latest techniques involving foot and ankle surgery. He is trained to diagnose and treat all conditions of the foot and ankle.
